Abducted Kano lecturer regains freedom

Abducted Associate Professor of the Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil, Huzaifa Karfi, has been released by bandits.
He was held back by bandits after he delivered ransom for the release of a district head in Kano community.
Bandits had on May 26, 2022, stormed Karfi village, Takai Local Council of Kano State and abducted the village head, Yahaya Ilu.
After much negotiations with the bandits, Professor Karfi took the ransom to the bandits who released the village head and held him back.
However, indications are that Dr. Karfi was released on Saturday afternoon.
The lecturer, alongside others, were said to have returned to town.
