The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has imposed a six-month travel ban on renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, following his alleged violation of boarding protocols at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The sanction came after K1 reportedly engaged in unruly behavior aboard a ValueJet aircraft on August 5, 2025.
According to NCAA’s Director of Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, the musician was blacklisted from all Nigerian commercial flights to enforce compliance with aviation safety standards.
The incident occurred when K1 attempted to board a flight with a flask allegedly containing alcohol, though his team insisted it held only water.
After refusing to comply with security directives, he was deboarded but later obstructed the taxiing aircraft, narrowly avoiding collision with the wing.
In addition, the NCAA temporarily suspended the licenses of the flight’s pilot, Captain Oluranti Ogoyi, and co-pilot, First Officer Ivan Oloba, for failing to adhere to safety protocols.
Achimugu dismissed claims that K1’s alleged political connections would exempt him from penalties, stressing the authority’s commitment to upholding regulations.
