Fuji Star K1 De Ultimate Sparks Chaos at Abuja Airport, Pilots Suspended for Safety Violation

Veteran Fuji musician K1 De Ultimate caused a major stare at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Tuesday after he allegedly attempted to stop a ValueJet aircraft from taking off.

The incident followed a confrontation with a flight attendant over a flask he was carrying.

According to reports, K1 was on board the plane drinking from the flask when an attendant approached him, suspecting the contents to be alcohol—which is prohibited on flights in Nigeria.

The musician refused to hand over the flask, insisting it contained prescribed medication.

His refusal led to the crew deboarding him.

In a fit of anger, K1 reportedly rushed to the front of the aircraft in an attempt to halt its departure.

Eyewitnesses said he stood defiantly in front of the plane as ground staff pleaded with him to move.

Despite the commotion, the pilots proceeded with takeoff, forcing K1 and airport personnel to scramble out of the way to avoid being struck by the aircraft’s wing.

In response to the incident, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) suspended the flight pilots for violating safety protocols by taking off while ground personnel were at risk.

Additionally, the aviation authority is considering placing K1 on a “no-fly list,” which bans individuals from commercial flights due to security or safety concerns.

The incident has raised questions about passenger conduct and aviation safety measures, with authorities weighing further actions against those involved.
