NECO Releases 2025 BECE Results, Sets Resit Dates for July

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the results of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

According to a statement by Azeez Sani, Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, a total of 179,201 candidates registered for the exam, which covered 12 subjects.

The examination, which began on 12th May 2025, concluded successfully on 23rd May 2025. The results were approved following the 2025 BECE Award Committee Meeting held at NECO’s headquarters in Minna.

Folake Olatunji David, Director of Basic Education at the Federal Ministry of Education and Chairperson of the Award Committee, praised the smooth conduct of the examination and the timely release of results.

The meeting was attended by secondary school principals from across the country and NECO management.

Also, the committee approved the 2025 BECE Resit Examination, scheduled for 23rd and 24th July 2025, with Mathematics and English Studies as the key subjects.
