The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, across Nigeria. The new prices now vary between ₦875 and ₦905 per litre, depending on the region.

Under the revised pricing structure, Lagos will pay ₦875 per litre, the South-West ₦885, the North-East ₦905, the North-West and North-Central ₦895, and the South-South and South-East ₦905.

This marks a ₦15 drop per litre across all zones and applies to all partner retail outlets, including major fuel marketers like MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde Energy.

Previously, Lagos residents paid ₦890 per litre, while the North-East and South-South regions saw prices as high as ₦920. With the latest adjustment, Lagos now enjoys a rate of ₦875, while the North-East and South-South will pay ₦905.

In a statement, the refinery emphasized that its fuel is “refined for better engine performance and environmental sustainability.”

The price cut follows the refinery’s recent naira-for-crude agreement, which has enabled cost reductions.

Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, stated that the move underscores Dangote’s dedication to stabilizing prices, supporting Nigeria’s economy, and easing the financial strain on consumers.

The company reassured Nigerians that petrol prices will remain stable and affordable.
