Kebbi PDP Senators Set to Defect to APC After Meeting President Tinubu
Three serving senators from Kebbi State—Adamu Aliero (Kebbi Central), Yahaya Abubakar Abdullahi (Kebbi North), and Garba Maidoki (Kebbi South)—have announced plans to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The lawmakers, who met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House in Abuja, were accompanied by Kebbi State Governor, Mohammed Idris, and other APC leaders.
The move marks a major political realignment in the state.
Also present at the meeting were Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu, and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu.
The senators are expected to formalize their switch to the APC soon.
