NCC Seeks Stakeholders’ Input on Draft Guidelines for Unused Recharges

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has unveiled a draft regulatory framework to address unutilized and unclaimed recharges in the telecom sector. 

In a statement by Dr. Aminu Maida, NCC’s Executive Vice Chairman, the Commission invited stakeholders to review the proposed guidelines, available on its official website (www.ncc.gov.ng).

The move aligns with the NCC’s regulatory mandate under the Nigerian Communications Act (2003), particularly Section 57, which empowers the Commission to implement measures for sector efficiency. 

A Virtual Stakeholders Forum has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. to discuss the draft document. Participants can access the meeting link via the NCC website from April 7, 2025. 

Stakeholders are also encouraged to submit written feedback by Friday, April 4, 2025, addressed to:
