RE: FALSE REPORTS ABOUT SIR SEGUN ARINZE
The Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN) wishes to address the recent misinformation being circulated regarding our esteemed member, Sir Segun Arinze.
It has come to our attention that an individual, Sarah Irete Ajayi Otagbo, posted a misleading image of Sir Segun Arinze on a movie set, insinuating that he is unwell. This false claim has sparked unnecessary concern among colleagues, friends, and the public.
We categorically state that Sir Segun Arinze is hale and hearty. He is actively engaged in his professional work, and any reports suggesting otherwise are entirely false and misleading.
The DGN strongly condemns the spread of such misinformation, as it not only affects the individual involved but also brings undue distress to his family and loved ones. We stand firmly by Sir Segun Arinze as he takes legal steps to address this matter appropriately.
We urge the public and media to disregard the false claims and verify information before sharing. On behalf of the DGN, we appreciate all those who have reached out with concern and support.
