Breaking: Wike, Fubara, Ogoni leaders, others meet Tinubu in Abuja
President Bola Tinubu is meeting with arch-rivals, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Nyesom Wike, at the State House Abuja.
Also in attendance at the meeting are some Ogoniland leaders from four Local government areas of the state.
Details of the meeting were still kept secret, however, it is no doubt about the simmering political crisis spearheaded by Governor Fubara and Wike immediately after the governor’s inauguration in 2023.
Seen at the Council Chamber of the State House, venue of the meeting include Senators Lee Maeba, Magnus Abe, Olaka Nwogu, Victor Giadom, Kenneth Kobani, Monsignor Pius Kii, Leedom Mitee, Senators Bennett Birabi, Barry Mpigi, Kenneth Kobani, and Prof. B. Fakae, among others.
Also the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Idris Mohammed, Minister of Regional Development, Abubakar Momoh, Minister of Environment, Balarabe Abbas, and the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mele Kyari were at the meeting.
