The first national grid collapse was recorded today, which has thrown Nigeria to total blackout.

The incident, the 13th grid collapse in the past 13 months in the country, is the first major grid failure in 2025.
It also occurred barely ten days into the new year.
Power generation went down from 2,111.01 megawatts at 2:00 pm to 390.20 megawatts by 3:00 pm.
