“As we make remarkable strides on our Akwa Ibom refinery project, we are proud to share that construction is progressing steadily. Whilst the refinery is not at 90% completion, we are on track to meet our delivery timelines,” the statement said.

The company also highlighted other energy initiatives, including a mini-LNG plant and several hybrid power plants across Nigeria, which will add to its over 1,000MW installed captive power generation capacity.

BUA Group further urged the public to rely on verified information from its official platforms and avoid being misled by false reports.

“With over 12 completed mega industrial projects worth over $3.5 billion in the past decade, we remain committed to transparency and excellence. We will continue to share verifiable updates as milestones are achieved,” it added.

The group expressed gratitude for the public’s interest in its transformative projects, reiterating its dedication to enhancing Nigeria’s industrial and energy landscape.
