The Cheetahs of Benin coach, Gernot Rohr, has conceded superiority to the Super Eagles in Group D African Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifiers after losing 2-1 to hosts Rwanda on Tuesday.

Indeed, the Cheetahs of Benin missed the opportunity to go top of the Group D with the Tuesday defeat of the Amavubi of Rwanda, who came from behind to win 2-1.

However, despite the defeat, the Cheetahs of Benin are second in the group with 6 points with 2 matches to go.

Rohr said, “The positive points is that in the direct confrontation, it’s still Benin who is ahead.

” We have our destiny in our hands and I think we will finish second in their group. We are convinced that we can do it.”

Benin will face Libya in the day 5 of the qualifier in November.
