DSS buckles, releases Ajaero before midnight deadline

The Department of State Security (DSS) has buckled, releasing President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) Joe Ajaero, before Labour’s slated deadline.
Ajaero was on his way to the United Kingdom on Monday for a Trade Union Congress (TUC) event when he was arrested at Abuja airport.
Indeed, the NLC executive members met late Monday to issue a statement for the immediate and unconditional release of Ajaero failure of which threaten to embark on strike action.
Ajaero disclosed to newsmen the he was quizzed by DSS and Police personnel for about 15 hours before he was allowed to go.
He was on his to a seminar in London before he was arrested at the Airport.
