Super Eagles interim manager, Augustine Eguavoen, has expressed confidence that the present crop of the Super Eagles can defeat any team.

Eguavoen, who spoke after the Suoer Eagles defeated Benin Republic on Saturday 3-0, insisted he is confident that Super Eagles can face any team.

For the Saturday AFCON qualifying match played in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, the Super Eagles had a comfortable lead with 3-0 win against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.

The Super Eagles attacker, Ademola Lookman scored a brace, and Victor Osimhen added the other goal.

According to Eguavoen, “We have quality players to beat any team, but we respect the teams anyway. Any coach can come in and do the same job with the Super Eagles.

“It is a mindset. We have the potential and how you perceived your opponent, given the information about them and then go out and do the job.

“We can decide to use any system. It is something we discussed, and I slept over it. I know that with the calibre of players that we have, we can decide to play any formation.

“Football is about you win, lose, and draw. I don’t believe we have a poor result.”

The Super Eagles will take on the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali on Tuesday.
