The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) is seeking for private managers hire to manage its Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company and the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company.

NNPC Limited disclosed this on its X account in a post titled, Expression Of Interest (EOI).

This is similar ti an earlier call by the national oil firm seven months ago, when it sought applications to outsource the operations and maintenance of the Port Harcourt refinery to private organisations.

The Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC), in Delta State, established in 1978, is a complex conversion refinery with a nameplate distillation capacity of 125,000 barrels per day (bpd) or 6,250,000 metric tons annually.

The refinery includes a petrochemical plant, with production capacities of 13,000 metric tons annually for polypropylene and 18,000 metric tons annually for carbon black. The facility is designed to cater to markets in Nigeria’s southern and southwestern regions.

The Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC), commissioned in 1980, serves Northern Nigeria with an initial capacity of 50,000 barrels per day but was increased to 100,000 barrels per day with the addition of a second 50,000 barrels per day crude train dedicated to producing lubricating oils.

Further expansion in 1986 raised the capacity of the first crude train to 60,000 barrels per day, bringing the refinery’s total current capacity to 110,000 barrels per day.
