Student loan disbursement not based on geopolitical zone -NELFUND
NELFUND has clarified that geopolitical zones are not a factor in the student loan disbursement process.
The agency explained that it sent a verification list to every eligible institution for the loan disbursement.
Payments are being made to institutions that have responded to this verification.
Unfortunately, NELFUND has not yet received any response from institutions in the South-East region.
NELFUND urged these South-East institutions to complete the verification process so that their students can benefit from the scheme.
The agency emphasized that the disbursement is based on the institutions’ responsiveness to the verification process, not on geopolitical zones.
NELFUND assured that it is committed to ensuring a fair and inclusive process for all eligible students across Nigeria.
