PARIS 2024: How Super Falcons can beat Brazil at the Olympics, by Toni Payne

Super Falcons player, Antionette Oyedupe “Toni” Payne, has disclosed how Nigeria’s national female can defeat Brazil at Paris 2024 Olympics.

Payne, who assured that the female national team of Nigeria can get a good result against Brazil at the Paris 2024 Olympics, said the players need to be confident.

Toni Payne, who spoke ahead of the game against Brazil in Group C on July 25 inside the Stade de Bordeaux, said the Super Falcons are on the same level as their opponents.

According to her, “Brazil will be a tough team, they are very talented but as Nigeria, we are at the level so it’s going to be a good match and I think we can get a good result against them.”

The professional footballer plays as a forward for Liga F club Sevilla.

She is, however, delighted to be with the rest of the team in training camp as they prepare for the Olympic games.

She said there is no doubt, “The training camp is going really well. I feel comfortable here. It’s a bit hot but I think this is the perfect place to get ready for the Olympics.“

According to her, it is a great opportunity to play at another major tournament for Nigeria.

She said: “Being able to compete on the world stage again with this team is such a really good opportunity I’m excited.”

Payne joined Sevilla on a one-year contract, which was extended for two further years in 2019.
