Whatsapp is developing a new generative AI tool that would enable users to create customised avatars of themselves to utilise in any scenario they can envision.

The function generates photos using a combination of user-supplied photographs, text prompts, and Meta’s AI Llama model.

This function was discovered in the latest WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.24.14.7 by WABetaInfo.

As per the report, users will be able to visualise themselves in a variety of environments, such as a dense forest or an expanse of space, thanks to this new function.

In comparison to AI-powered applications such as Lensa AI and Snapchat’s “Dreams” selfie function, this technology seeks to provide WhatsApp with an equivalent degree of personalisation.

Indications are that, simply saying “Imagine Me” in a Meta AI chat or using the prompt “@Meta AI imagine me” in other chats allows users to make AI-generated graphics.

Subsequently, the AI tool directs the user to snap a selfie, which becomes the foundation of the created image.

Users can add more customisation to their photographs by describing the desired background, style, or elements in the text.

After processing these commands on its own, the Meta AI presents the generated image right in the dialogue.

It has been stated that users will have to manually enable the function in the WhatsApp settings before they can use it.

Also, according to WABetaInfo, the reference photos are always erasable using the Meta AI settings.

When the new Imagine AI selfie feature will be widely accessible is unknown.

With the release of the “Imagine Me” AI selfie generation tool, WhatsApp has entered the expanding market for creative tools driven by AI on social media networks.

With customised graphics in their conversation, the AI gives users an enjoyable and captivating way to express themselves.

Earlier report stated that WhatsApp is rolling out a feature that will allow users to set voice messages up to a 60-seconds long as status updates.
