Ighalo, who spoke with OmaSports TV, said five years ago, if he lost a game he would go crazy and angry but now after the next day, he moves on.

Agsin, he said five years ago, he could play three games and recover properly but now it takes longer for him to recover from any injury.

According to him, “Yeah, not long, because you get tired, the body is not the same way it used to be. Sometimes you enjoy the game, but I don’t kill myself about it.

“It’s my job and I’m a professional player and try to win games. Five years ago, if I lost a game, I would go crazy and get angry, but now after the next day, I move on, not because I don’t love my job, but because I’m winding up.

‘‘Five years ago, I could play three games in five days and recover properly, but now one game takes a longer while to recover. It tells on your body because you’re not young anymore, and sometimes you’re mentally exhausted.”

The 34-year-old, who made his debut for the Nigerian national team in March 2015 against Uganda, once said playing for Manchester United was the highest point of his career.

The professional player started his football career at Nigerian clubs Prime and Julius Berger, Ighalo moved to Norwegian club Lyn in 2007 and made the revelation in a chat with Oma Sports TV.

Ighalo said that playing at Old Trafford was one of his biggest dreams, and he is happy to be the first and only Nigerian to play for Manchester United.
