Ademola Lookman with Europa Cup
Liverpool, Bayern Munich eyeing Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman
English Premier League (EPL) club, Liverpool, have shown interest in Atalanta and Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman.
A report by CalcioMercato indicated that Liverpool are among a host of EPL sides, including Man U and Chelsea, that are interested in the player.
Records showed that in 45 games for Atalanta in the 2023–24 season, Lookman scored 17 goals and added 10 assists, including a thrilling hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final to secure a win for his side.
In the same vein, Bayern Munich new coach, Vincent Kompany, is said to be also imterested in Lookman ahead of next season.
Sky Sports transfer expert, Florian Plettenberg, indicated that Bayern Munich has discussed internally about signing the player.
Plettenberg noted that a summer transfer is possible but Lookman only wants to join a top club with the price valuation of the 26-year-old player said to be around €25-30 million.
According to Plettenberg on X: “Lookman, a transfer in summer is possible, but the 26 y/o striker only wants to join a top club.
“Understand his price valuation is around €25-30m. Contract with @Atalanta_BC valid until 2026.
“Bayern have discussed Lookman in recent weeks but so far, it has never been concrete.”
