Ten Hag has faced growing speculation about his potential sack as the coach of the club after what could be described as not too good season after missing from Europe.

Transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, disclosed that a new deal is almost now agreed between Manchester United as Ten Hag continues to stay as the coach of the EPL club.

Romano also wrote in a post on his X handle (formerly Twitter) that contacts over a new deal are now advancing to the final stages this week with his agents to finalize terms.

According to him, ‘‘Erik ten Hag is set to sign a new contract at Manchester United as the deal is now almost agreed.

‘‘Contacts advancing to final stages this week with his agents to finalize terms.

‘‘There will be changes in the staff with Ruud van Nistelrooy as a strong candidate, as revealed.’’

With this development, Ten Hag remains manager of Manchester United at the start of the 2024–2025 season.

Last season, the Red Devil’s failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League put the bald Dutchman under intense fan pressure.

Ten Hag has now confirmed that he is in talks with the club’s hierarchy over a new contract as his agent is trying to find a common ground for the deal to eventually happen.
