Manchester United to retain Eric Ten Hag as new contract talks go on

Fears that Manchester United’s coach, Erik Ten Hag, will Old Trafford may be put to rest soon as the management of the club are said to be begun new contract talk with him.

A part from talks with coach’s agents, reports stated that Ten Hag is happy to sign a new contract as Manchester United coach and continue the project of building the club as club owners INEOS want to give him total trust.

Fabrizio Romano, transfer expert, confirmed that talks are on over extension of Ten Hag’s contract.

The club owners are said to be hoping that he would nurture youngsters, such as Garnacho to and Mainoo.

Romano wrote on his X handle: ‘‘Erik ten Hag, happy with INEOS decision — no personal issues despite long review, he’s only focused on the Man United project.

‘‘His role in developing youngsters like Mainoo and Garnacho has been a key factor… as INEOS want to keep following that way. ‘Trust young players’.’’

Thus, Ten Hag will continue to coach Manchester United during the 2024–2025 season.

Indeed, as the Red Devils witnessed poor seasons, especially when Manchester United did not qualify for the UEFA Champions League, the bald-headed Dutchman was under a lot of strain.
