President Bola Tinubu has made a light joke of his slip while climbing the vehicle during the Democracy Day parade at the Eagle Square on Wednesday as a “swagger.”

At a dinner held at the end of Democracy Day anniversay, Tinubu described his fall as “I dobale for democracy.”

Earlier, when Tinubu was approaching the motorcade vehicle shortly after he arrived at the venue of the 2024 Democracy Day, he missed his steps as he was about to step into the parade vehicle.

Social media went viral, with some people, especially ‘Obidients’ fans mocking him while others sympathised with him that after all, Tinubu is human and that the incident could happen to anyone.

However, while delivering his speech at the state Banquet Dinner at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to mark Democracy Day, President Tinubu made a joke of the incident, saying he had a swagger early this morning which was on social media.

According to him, some people were confused whether he was doing ‘Buga’ or doing ‘babariga.’ He said he did ‘Idobale’ to celebrate Democracy Day, as he is a traditional Yoruba boy.

“Early this morning, I had a swagger and it’s on the social media. They were confused about whether I was doing Buga or doing babariga, But, it is a day to celebrate democracy while doing “Idobale” for the day, he said.

“I am a traditionally Yoruba boy and I did my ‘Idobale.’”
