Chairman of the Origin Tech Group, Prince S J Samuel, confirmed the development in a recent statement.
Origin Tech Group bills itself as an agricultural value-chain business that operates on four continents and offers goods and services to a variety of sectors.

The two organisations formally inked the collaboration agreement during a gathering at Origin Tech Group’s Oregun office.

News.ng gathered that the agreement intends to exploit Niger State’s enormous agricultural potential for both financial gain and the alleviation of the ongoing food shortages that are currently being made worse by socioeconomic and political unrest in Nigeria and other countries.

The agreement is a step closer to both parties’ shared goal of revolutionising the livestock and agriculture value chains in the West African sub-region and beyond.

Chairman of the Origin Tech Group, Prince S J Samuel said:

‘’We are very elated to have you here and for us at Origin, it is a covenant and a mission, and we have vowed to ensure that we are in lockstep and to collaborate with States and other stakeholders who are aligned in that direction, and desirous of rapidly elevating and expanding food production by collaborating with state governments and other stakeholders who align in the direction of expanding the productivity of the Nigerian food systems to create wealth for rural Nigeria.”

The agro-based tech company had earlier announced a partnership with the Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji-led administration in its commitment to developing mechanized integrated farming in line with the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s executive order on food security.
