The governor made this plea during an extensive emergency security meeting on Friday at the Government House in Katsina.

Addressing key stakeholders, including security chiefs, leaders of paramilitary agencies, and prominent traditional rulers from Katsina and Daura, Governor Radda emphasized the need to address the surge in insecurity, food shortages, and poverty within the state.

His words: “This meeting was called to review the state’s security situation and rising poverty and food scarcity.

“We must review the security situation in the state, take action to find a solution and address these challenges.

“Apart from insecurity, there are other challenges like the rising cost of food and hunger amongst the population.”

He further expressed the government’s readiness to assist any community that organizes itself through training and the provision of logistics.

Governor Radda also revealed that the state government is considering establishing a task force to address the escalating food prices and insecurity, ensuring swift action to prevent situations similar to the recent riots in Kano and Niger states.

The governor assured the people that the state government would promptly curb rising challenges rather than wait for them to escalate.
