Gov Aiyedatiwa appoints Adelami as deputy

The Ondo State Governor Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has appointed his deputy.

He is a former Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr Olaide Adelami.

This position came only a few hours after the governor dissolved the state cabinet on Wednesday. He also relieved all Special Advisers and Senior Special Advisers of their positions.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan, said the name of the new deputy governor has been transmitted to the state House of Assembly for approval.

The statement added that, “His nomination will be announced by the House of Assembly later today.”

Adelami, whose name has been forwarded to the House for clearance, is a retired Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly l, who left office in April 2018. He hails from Owo, Owo Local Government Area, the same LGA of late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Adelami was an APC governorship aspirant in 2020 but stepped down for the late Akeredolu
