35 feared dead, 28 others badly injured in Yobe multiple accidents
Indications are that 35 people are feared dead, with 28 others terribly injured in a multiple accident involving a trailer, a bus and a canter truck along Potiskum-Nangere road in Yobe State.
The people were said to be on their way to popular Potiskum cattle market when one of the trucks lost control.
Witnesses said the bodies have been evacuated to Potiskum Specialist Hospital, while the injured are receiving treatment at the General Hospital, Sabon Garin, Nangere, currently.
However, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state is yet to confirm the incident, but its personnel and that of State Emergency Management Agency were sighted during the evacuation exercise at the hospital.
