US-based Prince Oyetola emerges new Aseyin
A new Aseyin of Iseyin in Oyo State has been selected. He is United States-based 55-year-old Prince Olawale Semiu Oyebola.
Prince Oyetola was adjudged the preferred candidate by the kingmakers on Tuesday to ascend the stool of Aseyin of Iseyin, Iseyin local government area of Oyo State, after a selection process for the Aseyin stool.
The ten kingmakers arrived at the palace at 10 o’clock in the morning for a voting process as planned by the officials of the Iseyin local government and security agents.
The Aseyin of Iseyin stool became vacant following the death of Oba Salauwudeen Abdulganiy Adekunle on 24th July 2022.
Earlier today, the kingmakers had converged at the palace to elect the 30th Aseyin of Iseyin.
