No increase in fuel price, NNPC insists
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, said Nigerians should disregard the reports on proposed increment in the cost price of fuel.
The NNPCL reacted to douse reports that there are fresh plans to raise the price of petrol from the current N617 to N680 per litre, N720 and N750 per litre.
The NNPCL urged its customers to ignore speculations in some quarters that there would be increase in fuel price.
The NNPCL maintained it has no intentions of increasing the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol.
The retail arm of the NNPCL in a post shared on its Twitter page debunked the media reports that fuel would rise to between N680/litre and N720/litre in the coming weeks.
“Dear esteemed customers, we at NNPC Retail value your patronage, and we do not have the intention to increase our PMS pump prices as widely speculated. Please buy the best quality products at the most affordable prices at our NNPC Retail Stations nationwide,” NNPC Limited noted.
