The victim, Mr. Biodun Ajibola, arelative of the former Senator, was said to have been killed when he tried to resist the move to kidnap him.

The state Police Command is said to be on the trail of the suspected kidnappers in order to arrest them.

The suspected kidnappers were said to have stormed the farms around 8 a.m. last Monday.

However, an attempt to also abduct one Felix Segun Adeleye, who is the driver attached to the supervisor of the farms, failed after they sighted some motorcyclists coming to their direction.

The source added that the kidnappers abandoned the driver, who had been injured in his leg, and pursued the motorcyclists.

“Senator Ajibola’s driver attached to the late supervisor was wounded and he is currently in the hospital in Ilorin receiving treatment,” a source said.

The incident was confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),  Mr. Ajayi Okasanmi, who said the body of the supervisor had been evacuated from the scene.
