WWC: Oshoala says I’m not selfish, Super Falcons were determined to win against Australia

Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala, who came in as substitute to score the team’s third goal against Australia in ongoing Women World Cup said he is not selfish.

In her post-match interview after leading Nigeria to beat Australia 3-2 on Thursday, insisted she came from the bench altgough she was not so well, but every member of the team was determined and was playing to make the team win.

The 28-year-old scored Nigeria’s third goal against Australia when she came off the bench.

She also made history as she became the first African player to score at three different editions of the FIFA tournament.

“Like I said earlier, this team has a lot to offer, and everyone has seen that today,” Oshoala said.

“To be honest, I was not feeling really too well [today], but I am not a selfish person, and this is why you need to be strong for the World Cup.”
