2023 WWC: Oshoala assures Nigerians Super Falcons won’t disappoint

Nigerian and Barcelona forward, Asisat Oshoala, has assured that the Super Falcons will not disappoint Nigerians at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Super Falcons will be making their 10th appearance at this year’s edition of the competition which will be co-hosted by Australia and the Republic of Ireland.

Nigeria’s best performance in the history of the competition was a quarter-final finish at the 1999 edition hosted by the United States of America.

However, Oshoala was quoted by Soccernet.ng as saying, “Please, and please, come rain, come sun, stay put with the Super Falcons. We are going to make you proud, and we are going to put in one hundred percent effort, and that’s a promise.

“We are going to play our hearts out there every time we get the opportunity. But please, we need your support.”

The Super Falcons will face Canada, Australia and the Republic of in Group B.

Randy Waldrum’s opening game is against Olympic champions, Canada on July 21.
