Lagos: Oil thieves tampering with NNPC pipeline scampered on sighting police

Oil thieves bursting a pipeline of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited in Lagos State scampered on sighting police operatives in the early hours of Saturday.

The incident occurred at about 2am in the Idimu area of Lagos.

The spokesman of the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the development, said the State Commissioner, CP Idowu Owohunwa, had visited the site of the incident.

Efforts are being made to unmask the criminals behind the incident.
