FRSC recovers over N5m, 10 phones at accident scene

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has recovered N5,020,660 and 10 phones from road crash victims on the Kaduna-Zaria road. The FRSC’s spokesman, Bisi Kazeem, issued a statement outlining the incident.
FRSC boss, Dauda Biu, reported that no lives were lost in the crash at 1:01 p.m. on Monday; a Toyota Hiance white bus with registration number KTG13XG was involved.
Biu stated that the cause of the accident was a tyre blowout, although passengers in the vehicle suffered fractures, cuts, and bruises. Out of the 11 people involved, eight were injured, and three were uninjured.
The N5,020,660, 10 phones, and other luggage will be presented to the family soon. The injured victims are receiving medical treatment at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) Shika.
The palm oil and other items were handed over to the chairman of the palm oil sellers union.
Biu added that the vehicle was towed to base successfully, and the recovered money was handed over to the duty room. He praised the Zaria unit command patrol teams for their honesty and commitment to ensuring the safety of the people.
Biu commended the operatives for their resilience, professionalism, and excellent synergy with other security agencies in their areas of responsibility.
