Don’t obey management on return to class yet, ASUU tells lecturers
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Benue State Chapter, has called on its members to remain calm and await directives from the union leaders.
This was consequent of the directives by the management of Benue State University, (BSU), on Tuesday, asking all staff to resume, with immediate effect,
The Management of the BSU had in a statement by the registrar, Mrs Mfaga Modom, directed all staff of the school to resume with immediate effect.
But a statement on Wednesday, by Terrumun H. Gajir, Secretary ASUU-BSU, he advised members to stay calm and await further directives.
The Union warned that any member found in violation of the strike would face disciplinary action.
According to him, “ASUU-BSU is still on strike as declared by the national body”, adding that the circular does not concern its members.
He called for an emergency congress on Thursday, September 29, 2022, to discuss the way forward for its members.
