50% fares subsidy: FG adds South-West routes
The Federal Government has added the South West part of the country to its 50% transportation subsidy at the Yuletide.
The goverment made these additional routes on Friday, to ensure coverage of the whole country in order to cushion the effects of the harsh economy.
The new routes cover Lagos to Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, and Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The routes are being operated by the National Union of Road Transport Workers from the bus terminal in Oshodi, Lagos State as seen in the video of commuters who had a refund given to them after paying the full fare to Akure.
Instead of the regular N6,500 fare, the commuters were refunded N3,250 each.
