Twenty people are feared dead in a stampede over scrambling for free food in a new generation church in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.

The church was said to have invited members of the public for its fourth edition of free gifts and food items distribution at the church premises.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday, saw a huge crowd of persons stormed the gate of the church, scrambling for the free Good, resulting in the stampede.
Details of the incident are still sketchy as of press time, however, it was learnt that scores of victims who sustained injuries have also been rushed to hospital.
