It’s a shame on Obasanjo, Buhari honoured NKO- Fayose

Former Ekiti State Governor  Ayodele Fayose, has said it is a shame on former President Olusegun Obasanjo that it was President Muhammadu Buhari who had to honour the winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential elections, Bashorun MKO Abiola.

Fayose, a critic of President Buhari, praised him on his tweeter handle for the gesture.

He said it was shameful that Obasanjo did not give Abiola the honour he deserved because of his ego.

Fayose wrote on @GovAyoFayise, “Honouring MKO Abiola by Buhari is to Obasanjo’s shame. It remains a sore-point of his political history that because of ego, Obasanjo, who’s the greatest beneficiary of the June 12, 1993 struggle failed to honour his kinsman, MKO Abiola. So, I commend President Buhari.”
